The Lit Lantern Culture and Literature Welfare Society is gearing up for its fifth edition by hosting the Vizag Junior Literature Festival on November 23 and 24 at the historic Hawa Mahal.
This two-day event will feature a lineup of celebrated authors, storytellers, and illustrators, including Roopa Pai, Kapil Pandey, Savio Masceranhas, Jeeva Raghunath, and Ashok Rajagopalan, among others.
These esteemed personalities will lead various sessions aimed at engaging and inspiring young minds.
Designed for children between the ages of 4 and 16, the festival offers approximately 60 interactive sessions, divided into three age-specific groups.
The festival activities span a wide range of topics, including creative writing workshops, panel discussions, debates, storytelling techniques, teacher training through stories, and dramatic readings. The event promises to be an enriching experience, focusing on both the creative and educational aspects of literature.
According to the organizers, the aim is to foster a love for reading and storytelling among children, helping them develop essential skills in a fun and engaging environment.
Authors will not only read from their works but also share insights into the creative process, providing young attendees with valuable takeaways.
Registrations for the event are set to open on October 19, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at several locations across Vizag, including the Tanishq showroom on VIP Road, Pages Book Store on Jail Road, and BookMagic Library in Lawsons Bay Colony.
