Celebrating Women’s Voices: Telugu and Nepali Authors Shine at Sahitya Akademi’s Nari Chetna

Delhi City News Online: The prestigious Sahitya Akademi recently hosted a special event, ‘Nari Chetna’, as part of its Webline Literature Series, celebrating the literary contributions of women writers. This event brought together celebrated authors from the Telugu and Nepali literary worlds, offering a platform for them to share their unique perspectives through short stories and poetry.

Prominent Telugu author Nagalakshmi Varanasi captivated the audience with readings from her Short stories. Her acclaimed works include Sisira Sumalu, Alambana, and Vekuva Pata.

Known for her evocative storytelling and deep exploration of human emotions, Nagalakshmi’s stories continue to inspire and resonate with readers across languages.

Adding to the literary brilliance, Nepali author  Usha Nair also presented her short stories, bringing diverse cultural nuances and themes to the gathering. Her contributions underscored the rich and varied narratives that Nepali literature has to offer.

The online literary event also featured a mesmerizing poetry session where Telugu poet  Nirmala Rani  and Nepali poet Radha Pandey recited their works. Their verses reflected the strength, struggles, and resilience of women, leaving a lasting impact on the audience.
